A comfortable plan is a short script you can follow when something online feels intense. It works because you make the plan before pressure arrives.

Choose rules that are easy to remember.

  • I do not send login codes to anyone.
  • I do not move money because of a chat message.
  • I do not install screen sharing or remote access tools for surprise support.
  • I verify urgent requests through a second channel.
  • I can leave and come back later.

Use a saved phone number, official website, bookmarked admin page, or known email thread. Do not use contact details supplied inside the urgent message itself.

You do not need to debate someone who is pushing you. A plain exit line is enough:

I am going to verify this another way before I do anything.

Then stop replying until you have checked.
