Publishing often shares more than the visible words or image.

  • Photos can include location, device, and timestamp details.
  • Documents can include author names, comments, edit history, and organization data.
  • Websites expose page titles, descriptions, social preview images, feeds, and structured data.
  • Short links and analytics can create click history.

Public pages can be copied, indexed, screenshotted, and archived. That does not mean you should never publish. It means you should treat public publishing as durable unless you have a strong reason to believe otherwise.
